Involved so far are...

E-Mail Received (13)
Alongwaltz, Ayah, Bgl3, Cosmic Bus, Contradiction, Dnorwood, Drinky, Dumpjack, Oldbullee, OPA, Posthumus, RParis74, and Timis.

No E-Mail Received (3)
Lego (tentative), Naked, and Shiv.

For those who are still tentative, please let me know for sure, either way, by Friday September 29 when I put together the groups.

And so you know, so far, we're up to 3 groups if the tentatives join in.

If only there was some way to compel people to comply with this requirement. Alas, you'll be lucky if 1/4 of those you send mixes actually review them.

Document who gets mixes from who and, if they don't post a review within a week or two, reply to every post that they make in any thread in any forum on the board with "Where's your fucking review!?"

Or just start a "_____ can eat shit!" thread and bump it every hour so that it never leaves the front page until they post their review.

Nope. I have to save all my mix ideas for posting as Mixers on Hip-D.

MiceElf, Radcliffe (tentative), and Shiv.

For those who are still tentative, please let me know for sure, either way, by Friday September 29 when I put together the groups.

For those who are hesitant, don't let the amount of people intimidate you. You will not be sending mixes to all of them as I will be separating people in smaller groups where you will be committed to sending out 6 or 7 mixes tops.

OFFICIAL: MIX EXCHANGE THEME

"I was just thinking it'd be kinda cool to compile a mix of songs that completely define you as an individual, whether they be old or new songs. You know, taking specific artists or specific songs that shaped your current view/taste in music today. I think it's kinda open to interpretation on how people want to communicate that."

Thanks again to Dana (dnorwood) for bringing this theme idea to my attention. I totally agree with her in that it should make for a fine theme. It'd be nice to get to know people better through the sort of music that they're passionate about. Should be interesting.

I think the theme should be "songs you're not passionate about." Or "songs you think are okay..kinda"

I don't know, but I'm feeling a little bit like George Bush right now.

I'm down. May have to include a few well known songs on it in order to do that. Kinda hard to narrow it down in one CD. It will surely be a little schizzo.

I was thinking about this a little, and I've halfway decided to make a mix of my favorite songs between the ages of 6 and 12.

It would be like dnorwood's '80s mix but 1000x suckier.
