We actually stole the street sign (my old street) shortly after our band formed.

My bf and brother both maintain that my ex-band's current incarnation should simply be called "Marlowe part 2". heh heh.

actually they were pissing me off because they're thinking about renaming themselves "hiboux"... knowing full-well that when I release something it will probably be under the name "ookpik".

hiboux = 'owls' in french

ookpik = Inuktitut for snowy owl a nickname I've been using since, let's see... grade 5(!).

luckily I tipped them off to the fact that there's alerady a band from Toronto named Hibou. Not to mention that everyone will call them "Hi-boocks".
