My mom called and she and my dad have invited me to Florida with them in December.... for free! Well, it'll be my xmas gift, but that's just as appreciated.

I made a mini-mix, too. Have at it.

No boss today, all the Special K with berries I can handle, scouring foodnetwork.com for weekend recipes. Life's good.

So, tell me something good...

It's Friday....the last day of this long and dreadful work week.

That's what I've got to hang onto at this moment in the day.

I came in to work today slightly hung over after staying out later than planned last night, dreading a 9:30 meeting that was going to be painful, only to find out the meeting has been rescheduled to next week. Awesome!

I mimicked the music from this song the other day after somebody said "tell me something good" and no one (out of a group of maybe 6) got it. Oh, well, maybe it was a sucky imitation.

For me, the good news is that the wife okayed a trip of our whole family (the wife, our 4 kids, and me) to my parents' place in Iowa for Thanksgiving. Seeing my folks, brother, and grandma would be good in and of itself, but there's more. My dad and his friend have (a total of 4) KC Chiefs season tickets. He has offered up the four tickets to my brother and me, and our wives, to go to the the game on Thanksgiving night, and my folks will watch all of the kids (5 total between my brother and me, including two babies that are two months old). SO I'M EXCITED.

Isn't it still a little problematic to be doing drugs at work?

hehe... no. i'm fine. wuuuuuuuuuuuut.

To whoever asked about Florida, my parents have a condo in either Ft. Myers or Ft. Myers Beach. I'm pretty sure it's the former, though. It'll be my first time seeing it, so I'm excited.

I just exported my grades at the middle school without any help. And I didn't have to bike to school today cause deena's off so i have the truck. Rehearsal with sparkwood was good last night, i can't believe i've got a handle on 11 complex songs in less than 2 weeks, cause i gotta tell you... i've been wiped. Deena made a banging shrimp alfredo last night, and i'm gonna go jam after work, roast a chicken with stuffing and mashed potatoes and broiled asparagus, i'm gonna make some strong ass bloody marys, catch colin's band at spider house, and just generally let out a weekend long sigh.

I have rounded up 30K to push my report to where it needs to be, through cajoling, the power of persuasion and SHEER FUCKING FORCE OF WILL!

I spent the first night in my new house, on my new California King Sleep Number bed, and I have already loaded all the dishes and all my books -- the new wine glasses, martini glasses and margarita glasses (thanks Bloor) plus some fine UGA rocks tumblers, are all loaded in glass fronted cabinets, and the books are all in built-in bookcases in my living room.

Stargroves is coming together nicely.

is it still in alabama? other than that, the house sounds sweet. mine still looks an iranian thinktank but it's got a 42" plasma and a Tempurpedic mattress in it (glass of red wine on one side, me jumping on the other), so i am disgustingly good.

Shit, I got LARRY sending his guys down to outfit the joint. He said those trees in the front yard you were worried about will be more than sufficent for lashing THEM to it and playing "Hurricane."

To whoever is going to or has a relative with a condo in Fort Myers, I'll be on the beach at Estero Island Beach Club near the Lani Kai.
