I loved that little series. I thought it was supposed to coincide with Halloween. I'd never heard the death theory before. Interesting.

I think that's the only strip where he copies the Family Circus but the rest of his strips are pretty much the same theme.

The problem with the big daily strips:

1.) The original authors pass them on to their kids to keep the shitfest rolling for generations.

2.) Old people love them. Our paper had a poll to vote off some old strips to freshen up our comic page, and the goddamn old people voted to keep all the junk on the page - Marmaduke, Dennis the Menace, Hi and Lois, For Better for Worse.

I think I stopped reading the comics at like age 10. I'm not an environmentalist and amazes me that four of five pages of news paper is wasted on the sunday comics here.
If I could get rid of any of them they would be Cathy, Luann and Mary Worth. I think I only read Doonsbury and Boondocks.

for better or worse is the worst because it's the only one that ages with us and seeing the kids all grown up reminds me of my own mortality.
