Heh. Thanks for posting that. Not only is it great but it will prove that Dalen likes some dem black.

Course they don't mention anywhere that the Republican Party under Dubya barely resembles the Repubs of the 19th-mid 20th century, at all.

they're running this in OH and MD right now. Both the republican gubernatorial candidates are like "ummm, I had nothing to do with this".

Where are they playing this? On AM talk or are they actually getting this onto "urban" stations?

I've heard very similar political ads recently on 107.9 FM, the main R&B/rap station in Cleveland. However, it was in support of a specific political candidate (Ken Blackwell).

right? they forget to mention that after the "democrats opposed civil rights leislation until the 1960s" the republicans took over that job. and that democratic support of civil rights legislation is pretty much the reason the south started turning republican.

The ability to work in Mexicans, Flag Burning & Homos into one piece with mariachi music is just amazing. Oh, and Mexican flag burning homos.

he's denying anything to do with it, despite being on their national advisory board.

Is the loon sound supposed to be signifying something? Also, I'm already trying to find those reports on old men masterbating and the Aleutian Eskimos.

As a swing state (MN), we've been hearing and seeing political ads constantly as of late. Both sides make me wretch. This radio spot is embarrassing on many levels, and requires a severe fisking, but I'm not up to the job.

One point about the minimum wage legislation mentioned in the ad: it was tacked onto legislation which would repeal the estate tax permanently. Repubs knew the bill would fail, so they added the minimum wage element to specifically inspire ads like this. Dems decided that the benefits of the minimum wage increase were outweighed by the negative consequences of repealing the estate tax. Were the legislation divided into separate bills, you would have seen Repubs vetoing the legislation and Dems supporting it.

I've said this before, but please, can we stop calling it a "death tax?" Everyone dies. Only the wealthiest of the wealthy pays the estate tax--and if I understand correctly, a good lawyer and financial planner can help you set up trusts that help you avoid it as well.
