Former members of the band Migala (another great band from Spain). These guys are putting together some great songs, and I am highly looking forward to their full-length.

KEN Mode
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=448288

Canadian metal.

The Jacks
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=8307130

I have to give a push for my friend Alex's band, The Jacks. Acoustic dreamy, poetic pop.

Bad Liquor Pond
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=23273708

Local Balto/DC metro band who are trying to make a name for themselves in the psychedelic/rock market.

Bo Lee Da
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=18455574

I can't describe Bo Lee Da. Sometimes he plays noise, or classical guitar. Who knows. He's pretty talented though. And he's a local boy.

DeltaHead

JSBX style from Sweden.

In the meantime, I'm digging on a Brooklyn band that's been building a lot of buzz lately called Meneguar. Yes Dalen, their last record is a bit emo, but they're recording a new one and they're moving away from that sound and more into a choppy, raw, energetic kind of rock that reminds me of Joggers.
I got I Was Born At Night (on pretty nice sounding vinyl) because one day while I was browsing at a local indie record store last spring they were playing it and it sorta reminded me of Les Savy Fav with a bit of The Dismemberment Plan thrown in but as it turns out the record (EP, really) as a whole is kinda meh. Too emo and stupid lyrics but they do sound like they may have some potential down the road. Hey, it could happen! :)

"Among the cacophony of cookie-cutter rock bands, Beat the Devil emerges as a uniquely soulful addition to the Lower East Side of the 21st century. - AM New York"

This tiny Indian chick, lead singer with a big voice, plays the harmonium...awesome show live, the songs don't quite do it justice but you will get the drift. Their myspace is linked below, along with a senspace of my two favorite songs "Plea Bargain" and "Shine in Exile"
