I've provided you brief write ups on some of the bands seen this month, but thought I'd begin posting monthly photo reviews as well. Let me know what you think.

I thought The Grates were well...erm...GREAT! Fantastic energy -- loved the lead singer. She has such an infectious personality. I'd love to see 'em again.

And..ahem...there will be no photo reviews of my groove.

Good to hear! I've seen them a few times now (tho not unfortunately on their upcoming tour) and my love for them pretty much knows no bounds

Love his music but damn if he don't look like a homeless man.

He had an 11-member orchestra accompany him. Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain them all in one photo.

the Grates just can't sustain my attention over the course of an entire album. They are fun live, though.

If you're not familiar with these guys -- they're from Sweden and have a very cool punk pop sound.

Sorry to say that I didn't have the best seat in the house, but it didn't reduce my excitement of the evening.

I really enjoyed this three-member band out of Montreal -- very ambient and lovely. You boys might like the rather beautiful singer. ;)

Sorry, but Brother Man Dude does not deserve a photo posting.

And that, ladies and gents, was my residence obviously spent at The Troubadour.

Thanks! I usually arrive early to most shows -- I'm only 5'5", so I try to be in front to have an unobstructed view.

Those are some fantastic pictures!

I meant to ask you what kind of camera you had while I was there, because mine sucks for shows.

All pics are awesome, but that first pic of The Grates is off the chain, Tania, Captures the timeless release that IS ROCK AND ROLL.

And DAMN girl, you probably see more shows in 6 months than I have in 12 years of concert attendance.

Kewl shots, T. You're lucky you can get right in front. If I get in front, I have people staring daggers into the back of my head (I'm 6'2").

I love you because you're helpful.
