After a few listenings, this is one of the best, most consistent albums by America's greatest rock and roll band.

In my top five for this year... as someone recently posted here about the Stones... I would not trust anyone who doesn't like this music.

" killing myself to survive..." Hollenbeck Park... chiva... damn it makes me tired just to remember...

made nogales overnight...

I respect your opinions and the depth of musical knowledge you clearly possess, but I really never got them at all.

Los Lobos is Spanish for "The Lobos."

Do you like Mink Deville? Do you like Bruce Springsteen? Do you like the Stones? Do you like Van Morrison? Do you like southern rock? Do you like Willie Nelson? Do you like Watts 103r St. Rhythm Band? Bobby Blue Bland?

Or Spoon? Or Drive by Truckers? Or Jayhawks? Wilco? Red House Painters? Magnolia Electric Orchestra?

Or if you ever felt that your loneliness took you closer to God... then you should get them.

Looking at that list, harry and I share a lot more common ground that I'd have thought — which is cool.
