Texas-based band And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead have announced that their album has been delayed until November 14th. The band spoke with Billboard about the record which will include guest appearances from King Crimson drummer Pat Mastelotto and Dresden Dolls vocalist/pianist Amanda Palmer.

The article had this to say about the album:

Among the highlights are a dramatic, piano-addled cover of Guided By Voices' "Gold Heart Mountain Top Queen Directory," the sturdy, strutting "Life" and the multi-faceted closer "Sunken Dreams," which most closely resembles Trail Of Dead circa 2002's acclaimed "Source Tags & Codes."
The album follows their 2005's Worlds Apart.

I've cooled off on my s,t,c love but holy shit I loved that record when it came out, I must have seen them 6 or so times on that tour.

worlds apart isn't so bad though.

I'll buy it for sure. I'm one of the few that did not hate Worlds Apart. But yeah, Source Tags & Codes is far superior.

I think it's a slight improvement over Worlds Apart, but the vocals just don't work for the slower material.

I like a few of the songs (wasted), but mostly for particular moments and not as complete songs. I'll always be pulling for Conrad and these guys, but...I'll have to give this a few more listens, as opposed to the few I did earlier in the week that left me mostly disappointed (as opposed to aghast, as with Worlds Apart).

than they did two albums ago
but
so divided sounds pretty good
if you can let go of that
and just let em do their new thing
i wasnt ready for it when worlds apart came out
but now its kind of growin on me
