Fresh dill.
Especially with seafood or anything with paprika... it's a lovely foil.

hey, I thought Todd meant seasoning in the herb kind of way. But give me Tony's over Old Bay or Lowry's any day.

I'm actually have a local guy that makes me some homemade seasoning that I use. He's got labels and everything.

I was just yankin' your chain. I always found Tony's to be too salty. Good lord that stuff is everywhere down there though.

I'm a bigger fan of Texas Pete than any other hot sauce. Great on fried fish, mac and cheese, greens, pretty much everything.

Best seasonings of all is straight up salt and fresh cracked pepper, though, when you get right down to it.

Those are The Beatles of seasonings... everyone just takes them for granted. They're essential.

The best? Garlic.

The worst? Cilantro.

damn dude, yes on both. in fact of think people overdue it with seasonings on certain things. for instance, a beautiful cut of steak only needs a dash of salt and some cracked pepper. you wanna taste that fucker, and not just the seasoning.

and yeah, Texas Pete is hard to fuck with...

As far as hot sauce goes, I've always been a Crystal fan. Not very hot but excellent flavor.

I actually can't think of anything I know how to cook that doesn't start with:
Heat 1 tsp of olive oil in a medium sized saucepan
add garlic

etc.....

And Dalen -- you got it right on the steak. I see you pouring Dale's on there, I feel like eating somewhere else.

I love garlic too, and use it with alot of stuff

As for steak, if it isn't a fine cut of meat, I have no problem with really seasoning it or using a sauce on it. If you got a fancy Omaha steak your going to grill, you shouldn't use much on it.

Some good shit for mac & cheese is that bottle of green peppers in brine, and you splash some of the brine on the M&C. Tech Cafeteria Goodness.

I also prefer Crystal's flavor to Tabasco, and Tabasco Chipotle is good stuff.

Big fan of Cumin & Allspice over hurr.

Fuck yeah, that shit is awesome on greens as well. We have a flood of places down here where you have a choice of all this shit on your table.
