Seriously, they should be even better...whole chunks of meat, and you don't haveto get super messy eating them, yet they always kinda suck.

Theoretically, they should be awesome, but I'm always disappointed in them.

meat on the bone always manages to taste different (read: better) than meat that isn't.

Yeah it's a hassle to eat, but worth it.

Probably because a meatless "wing" is actually emulsified forcemeat - a pudding-like mixture that is molded into the shape of a wing. It could just as easily be shaped into a big buffalo dildo or helmet.

If you're gonna eat some wings, eat some damn wings. Not some nasty paste made up of over a hundred different birds.

fuse has a point, but even if you made wings at home, and then you made some boneless breasts or tenderloins from the meat section, make em the same way, breaded, fried, tossed in buffalo sauce...

the meat on the bone, to ME, always seems to taste better

Isn't a boneless chicken wing a nugget?

Are they dark meat? If not, that could be part of the issue.

Eh, this are whole chunks of breast meat (they don't come apart is chunks, they tear and string) and they still just aren't what I was hoping for. And I am usually smart enough to remember they suck, but tonite I wanted wings, but wanted to eat them in bed, and that is non habit-forming, unless you wanna 'splain to the wife when she returns why there is sticky hot sauce all over the bedspread (and the funny thing is, eating wings in bed is the GOOD explanation for this).

The hassle is why I've never been a big fan of wings....love the sauce, but for me they are too much work, too little reward....I'll eat boneless wings on occassion, but mostly am a fan of other preparations of using the wing sauce.

You need to find yourself a good divey bar that's got like 10 cent wing night. When I was in college, that place was the Euclid Tavern, $5 pitchers of miller, couple pitchers and 50-100 wings, many tuesdays were spent there...

too bad it's gone.

Then when I lived in FL, The Purple Purpoise on A-1A and Eau Gallie... 25 cent night, also tuesday. Wings, Oysters, Shrimp (hot or cold peel n eat) and beers. Get a platter of beer (16 beers for $4?), and some big meaty wings...
