That'd make, what, 3 times in the last 5 years or so? It's so stressful up here, cheering for the "other" team (and the "other" team winning the last 2 times! go dawgs).

Yeah, I like the fact that there are guaranteed conference tie ins for bowl games, but it would be nice if the BCS conferences could trade, so you don't end up with repetitive bowl game match-ups like this. I think they tend to have alot of rematches in the Capital One bowl too.

Nebraska plays Kansas at home this week in a night game on Fox Sports. Last year, the Jayhawks broke a nearly 40 game streak and beat Nebraska bad, in what was the huskers most pathetic performance of the year. I'm hoping we blow them out like every other team we have played this year, but it could be a good game if KU plays ten times better than they have so far.

I realize both Louisville and WVU are having great seasons, and one will probably finish undefeated with the other only losing one, but is that still any reason to include TWO Big East teams in the BCS?!?!?!?

Yes, because one essentially fills the role that a non-BCS at large team would fill. Essentially it comes down to Boise State/TCU finishing unbeaten and taking that spot or the one loss loser of the Big East. After Louisville annihilated Miami, it would be hard to eliminate them from contention even with their injuries. West Virginia earned their spot by beating the Dawgs last year.
As much fun as I make of the Big Least usually, they have some good teams this year and might be better than the Big 12 and ACC at this point. Louisville and West Virginia along with Rutgers and Pitt form a fairly decent conference.
As shitty or mediocre (if you want to be nice) as most of the BCS power conferences are this year, it would be hard to argue against Louisville when faced with a third team from the SEC or a two loss Notre Dame.

I will agree with you that a one-loss WVU or Louisville deserves to be in the BSC more than a two-loss ND.

I haven't watched Louisville yet this season, but West Virginia is pretty fucking good. Riduculously fast, and everyone, including QBs and backs block well and slip off downfield.

I'm becoming more convinced with each passing week that Michigan is the best team in college football this year, and that they will prove so by defeating Ohio State.

Ohio State beat Penn State by a much larger margin than Michigan, plus Lloyd Carr has sucked against OSU and the game is in Columbus.
I think OSU has a cakewalk to the BCS game, they play a bunch of cupcakes and then have their one big challenge in the last game.

BTW, the only time Nebraska and Arkansas have played was in the 1965 Cotton Bowl with the #2 Hogs beating the #6 Huskers 10-7. Arkansas scored a touchdown with under five minutes left in the game to win it.

I'm up for the inevitable Husker-Hog showdown in this year's Poulan WeedEater Bowl. Or is it the Galleryfurniture.com Bowl? I never can remember which bowl features the #5 Big 12-#4 SEC matchup.

Poulan Weedeater no longer sponsors the Independence bowl and and GalleryFurniture is now the Texas Bowl.
