I thought there were more Strangers with Candy fans around.

I never thought that much of it, personally, but I only saw it a few times.

She tried too hard. Too much Martin Short.

not officially, but there are several sites that sell copies. I actually have an extra set if you want me to mail them to you.

i checked amazon, and it looks like what they have are region 2 -- or whichever region it is that won't play on my dvd player.

is that what yours are? if not, that would be sweet if you'd actually be up for mailing them out! lemme know....

I'm pretty sure mine are regionless. I'm not promising they'll play, but they seem to work fine. Yeah, just PM your address to me and give me a month to forget, then remember, then box, then leave in my car for a weekend, then mail.

Some that I thought were great when I was younger was:

Star Trek (yes, there is a lot of comedy in the original series although calling it a comedy is a bit of a stretch)
The Cosby Show

and

WHAT'S HAPPENING?

Some others that I think are great that have not been mentioned:

Brak's House
Space Ghost
Drawn Together

I am glad there aren't many Family Guy choices or Aqua Teen Hunger Force choices. I DESPISE ATHF (except for Carl occasionally)

And I think that Friends was pretty damn funny too.

Yeah, pretty much. I'm soooo glad Police Squad and The Young Ones hung it up before jumping the shark. Get Smart is top five material for me, remove Sanders and slot in 86. SCTV is also top five, and shares the five spot with Blackadder.

What are we calling all of the Adult Swim cartoons, 'cuz they belong in there as well--especially the Cartoon Planet version of Space Ghost and Brak.

Watching Studio 60... flail feebly at spitfire paced wit and dialouge, I'm remorseful I excluded SportsNight from my list.

And when I was aged 8-10, The Carol Burnett Show (particularly Tim Conway) would set me into coughing fits.

Incredibly funny show, saw it once but couldn't place it until now, thanks!

Are there any dvds or ways of getting the episodes?

It was great, wasn't it? There were only 6 or so episodes weren't there?

It was one of those shows that flew completely under the radar - the only reason I saw it (especially being in Aus and it showing on the public broadcaster) is seeing the guide in the Sydney broadsheet give it a good write up before it premiered

As for getting a copy, I've got no idea. I guess it might be somehow available in Britain, but I haven't really looked into it.
