I do not love ABBA nor understand how they have cred while other similar crappy bands do not. I understand that they are technically good at the crap they make but it is crap nonetheless.

Abba took a bad idea and did it so well that it became good.

They put together *perfect* pop songs. It sounds easy, but it's incredibly fucking hard. Some folks can write, some can sing, some can produce. Rarely does a finished product come out with 10's on all 3 counts.

Zero content, but the packaging is so unbelievably amazing that it supercedes the need for content from most listeners, like the Neuro's and m'self. Sometimes I don't care if they're saying anything important. It's rare, but sometimes.

Don't like how confectionary they are. As a child, was very impressed with Anna and Aggie's ass/leg exposure quotient.

Thought B & B were some of the goofiest looking dudes ever lived but respected them for getting their Swede-on vis-a-vis A & A.

Still snicker at how dark some of their lyrics are for how Slavi-Disney the music is.

Wife loves them, so there's the "husband pretends they're qual" factor at play.
