Not to totally rip off an earlier thread, but I am planning on heading to Costa Rica. I want to stay in bungalow/villa (preferably with a/c) but am having a helluva time finding good info. Every goddamn travel site on the net is so profit driven that you can't find any good info. If anyone has been or has good we reccomendations please let me know.

i'm heading to tamarindo for my honeymoon (pacific side) and staying at a place called cala luna - a few friends have stayed there and said it is the best place in Costa Rica.

these might be expensive, but.....

I had some friends stay at an all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica a few years ago. I'll see if I can jog their memories on what it was called.

We stayed at Jardin Del Eden in Tamarindo, and it was our best vacation, ever. Not expensive, dynamite kitchen, no need for AC--ceiling fans and ocean breeze did just fine. Guanacaste in the NW (Pacific) is a sure bet, and Arenal's an easy day trip. Definitely spend the bucks and do a canopy tour.

I am not capable of giving any names but there are LOADS of places in Tamarindo. I went there a couple years ago. It is such a wonderful place. It's possibly my favorite country I have been too besides Slovakia.

Please go somewhere besides Tamarindo as well though. It's uber touristy and full of foreigners not las costarricenses (ticans). Plus, if you don't surf, the surf attitude may get bothersome.
