Although this week, David Allen Coe's "Longhaired Redneck" has been a contender.

A few weeks ago, The Edge of U2 fame was interviewed in Time Magazine and said that's the one song he desperately wishes he would have written. I immediately thought of you, Borgnine+157.

See, it's comments like that's keeping the likes of you and Rads ranked higher than me on the ayah Hot 100.

Leo Sayer "Long Tall Glasses"

That was my favorite song when I was 11. I had it on a K-Tel hits album, along with stuff like "More More More" and "Feelings."

"I know I CAN dance I know I can DANCE!'

Greatest non-Grand Funk white-boy afro ever.

When I was a little girl, whenever this song came on, my mom used to let me stand on her feet and hold on to her while she'd dance and spin me around. If we hear it nowadays, I'll let her stand on my feet since she's a little smaller and we usually end up collapsing in laughter on the floor. Good memories of this song. I wonder if I'd like it as much if it didn't have the memories attached...

True, except being a member of WAR granted him honorary "brother" status.

This doesn't strike me as something you'd like for some reason. I know you're not crazy about the whole New Order/Pet Shop Boys schtick..but I guess Gary is a on a different level. Still kinda new wavey though.

You're right, for the most part, but for some reason Numan really stuck. When he appeared on SNL, a redneck who knew I liked Numan started calling me a fag. He immediately assumed anyone who listened to Numan was gay.

Checked the lyrics on "The Streak", & while I agree with the sentiment, I could never do it. 'Cause I'd never look as good as these:

For awhile now anyway,

Ceremony - New Order/Joy Division
Luau - Joy Division
Laughing - R.E.M.
In The Aeroplane Over the Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel

But seriously,

Wind of Change - Scorpions

How many forms of government did your favourite song put an end to?
