Here's my list which I'll probably be adding and subtracting from:

Caetano Veloso – Ce
Scott Walker – The Drift
Micah P. Hinson – Micah P. Hinson & the Opera Circuit
The Keene Brothers
Irma Thomas – After the Rain
Orlandivo - Sambaflex
Annette Peacock – 31:31
And You’ll Know Us by the Trail of the Dead
The Blue Aeroplanes – Altitude
Tim Easton – Ammunition
Chico Buarque – Carioca
Solomon Burke – Nashville
Walkmen – Pussycats
Bobby Bare Jr. – The Longest Meow

Feel free to tell me any of these aren't worth my time. And go ahead and list yours if you feel like it.

I definately have to hear that Bobby Bare Jr. record, though I'm completely lost on anything he did after Brainwasher

I should listen to Micah P. Hinson some more. I like what I've heard from his previous stuff.

Stuff I'll be picking up or maybe downloading:
Califone - whatever the new one's called
Joanna Newsom - Ys
Squarepusher - Hello Everything
Evens - The Evens Get Even

I need to listen to that Blood Brothers album some more, but I don't know if I have the final version of it.

Oh, and I want to hear the rest of that Subtle record, too, but I'm kinda afraid to buy it.

I'm not saying it's a waste cause it's enjoyable but to me it's not as good as teh previous two. It's a more rock filterd through the Pixies kind of sound with some country touches. Don't rush out and get it.

I don't think it makes that creepy-ass bizarre recording any less amazing, though. Disturbing, yeah. But still gonna get my #1 of the year.

Nice list. Drift is really growing on me now. The one i don't like at all is that Blue Aeroplanes record.

I'm awaiting Walkmen and AYWKUBTTOTD albums to release before hearing them. Solomon Burke from what I've heard is enjoyable, but I probably won't invest many listens into it. Scott Walker is great. I still need to pick up an actual copy. I really enjoyed it.

I thought we were supposed to be getting new stuff from Modest Mouse, The Polyphonic Spree, and the Stars remix record finally.

But it doesn't sound like any of that's coming out. The Tuesdays on my calendar are pretty much bare from here on out.

No, you really don't.

Well, I guess the 'Lips album is kinda worth hearing.

You could probably imagine what the Thom Yorke album would sound like, and you'd be exactly right (unless you're thinking it'll be like "How I Made My Millions" which, unfortunately, it isn't).

Exactly. I was told it was pretty darn close but I've been endlessly postponing and postponing checking it out. Well thanks for the warning.

I really dig colleen. Nice to see ppl are checking her out.

Stuff I liked that has been sorta overlooked:

Tara Jane O'Neil - In Circles
Oakley Hall - Gypsum Strings
Archie Bronson Outfit - Derdang Derdang
Susanna and the Magical Orchestra - Melody Mountain (best cover art of the year)
Cortney Tidwell - Don't Let Stars Keep us Tangled Up
Under Byen - Samme Strof of Strof
Tim Hecker - Harmony in Ultraviolet
Bears - S/T

and maybe just cause they're new yet:
Clark - Body Riddle
Emily Haines & The Soft Skeleton - Knives Don't Have Your Back

That Mouse on Mars is decent.

Better than Radical Connector but not on par with Idiology and most of their earlier work.
