Do the Super Furry Animals have the same original linup now as they did back when Fuzzly Logic came out?

i think so. i was just thinking of them.

allmusic says they formed in 1993 and i've not seen anything during a quick google search of anyone leaving or joining.

The Gretchen album was good. Haven't followed them in 15+ years. No clue if I'd still like them or not.

I dig King's X. Frosted, you should check out Dogman, Ear Candy...

See, that's more where I thought their peak was. Faith, Hope, Love (1990) through Ear Candy (1996)...before and after they were spotty.

Sadly, i know the answer.

orignally Expose, was three other women. I think when the label knew they had 'hits' on the record, they scrapped the original three and put in the three new girls, who the world knew then and now as Expose. After the second record, Gioia Bruno left the group with throat problems, and was replaced by Kelly Moneymaker.

they are doing a bunch of shows, and Kelly is actually gonna go out with them and sing a few tracks..

i am not ashamed to know any of this. I loved all three of their records. catchy songs are cattchy songs.

Didn't Tom Peterson leave Cheap Trick for a few albums? And I'm pretty sure Aerosmith lost a member or two in the late '70s before the comeback.

The winner. Original lineup lasted from 1954 to 1997--43 years.

Not the winner: Fairport Convention (24 different members over the years, including one lineup which contained no original members)

Didn't they call themselves New Aerosmith for a year or two or am I imagining that?

Anyway, there were something like 6 years Perry wasn't in the group.

Yeah, I forgot about that. He left Cheap Trick for a couple years to try his hand at professional baseball or something. Diggity Dawg can probably give us the exact story.

Well if he were a closer he could do a bit of "Stop This Game" each night.

I didn't know about this so i checked allmusic and this is what they had to say

allmusic guide Wrote:
Following the recording of the George Martin-produced All Shook Up, Petersson left the group in the summer of 1980 to form a group with his wife, Dagmar; he was replaced by Jon Brant. Released toward the end of 1980, All Shook Up performed respectably, peaking at number 24 and going gold, yet the single "Stop This Game" failed to crack the Top 40. One on One, the group's seventh album and the first recorded with Brant, appeared in 1982. Although it peaked at number 39, the record was more successful than All Shook Up, eventually going platinum. Nevertheless, the group was entering a downhill commercial slide, despite the fact that its music was becoming increasingly polished. Next Position Please, released in 1983, failed to launch a hit single and spent only 11 weeks on the charts. Standing on the Edge (1985) and The Doctor (1986) suffered similar fates, as the group was slowly losing its creative spark.

Petersson rejoined the band in 1988 ...

Wikipedia says they were "on hiatus" in 2004-2005, but back going now.

I thought Lars or Tim had left....

I guess Tim had that side project the transplants, and I figgered it meant Rancid was done.

I'll bet there are quite a few bands under the punk umbrella that are intact and over the decade mark.

At the risk of getting berated like an old school U2 fan waxing nostalgic on their 30 year anniversary . . .

Counting Crows are on at least their third drummer. And they recently shitcanned that weird little bass player. And they've added a couple guitar players since the first record. And Duritz has gotten super fat, which may constitute an additional member.

Edit: both of 'em have been together for close to 30 years.

The 'Tones were going through a bass player a week for a while in the '80's until they found Ken Fox, it's been stable for the last 15 years.

Also, Tommy left Cheap Trick for nearly all of the 80's.

besides the dead guy they've had both Jason Newsted and Robert Trujillo on bass.

they flip flopped jobs, and Jason took Robert's job playing with Ozzy.

Robert played with Suicidal Tendencies and The Infectious Grooves, motherfucker of a player, too bad he's playing bullshit now.

If we discount "The Third Letter", then Wire qualifies. They're the only ones I can think of.
