Boggs didn't make the majors until he was, what, maybe 26?

And he spent his last few years staggering around Florida, playing like an 80 year old.

So the time in between that was kinda great.

I picked Wade Boggs because he was from Omaha.
He actually went into the hall as a Red Sox, since MLB wouldn't allow him him to take money and go in as a Devil Ray.
Besides the chicken, he once supposedly drank 64 beers on a flight from
Boston to LA.
