listening to the advance of their album now, and man, the vocalist blatantly copies juilan's little vocal slurs and everything. it's shameless. especially since they're from new york.

the little techno/keyboard parts are really gay as well. they've totally overdone them.

this will be huge.

i've thought of them as julian casablancas singing for the rapture with some extra keys. i dig it, but haven't heard the full-length.

i may add, though, they sound better live than they do on the ep and the lp. i'm not real big on either release.

I dunno about these guys...I sense some candlebox effect going on.

Not that they in any way sound like candlebox, but they look like they were a nu-metal band that ditched that look when the 80s/indie thing became more popular...much like how candlebox got signed.

You really think so? I was thinking the Killers and all those other 80s revival type bands. And they fit the bill because they are way too pretty. (Minus the fact one of them looks like an ex of mine, it totally freaked me out)

I saw these guys play last week, and it was fun. A guilty pleasure for me.

i can kinda see how they could be a good live band. some of these songs are pretty good. my main problem is really the singers voice though...and the cheesy keyboards.

i saw these guys open for the libertines by some party sponsored by the fader. i thought they were pretty bad. i hate the killers and that's who they remind me of.

i've played with them a few times and my pals are doing a show with them tonight in cambridge. i dunno, yeah, i could say things about how shitty they have treated people here or how the music is insanely sub-par, but whatevs. i think they speak for themselves well enough.

I think the singer dude recorded the chorus to Honest Mistake when he was going through puberty.

Listening to "An Honest Mistake" on Launchcast right now. It's very 1983 synth. It's more A Flock Of Seagulls b-side than it is Strokes.

michael score with a dye job. and the dude in the background looks like he's trying out for the misfits. this group is confused.
