I find it interesting that this, the Haynesworth incident & the Vick thing last season happen & the individual players involved or in the Miami case, the whole program, get run through the dirt. And rightfully so in each case. In fact maybe not enough in any case other than Vick. But if any of this happened in hockey then every hockey player, fan, coach ect would get run thru the dirt. When one player does something wrong it's everyones fault & hockey is horrible. Or the same thing for lacrosse. The Duke Lacrosse thing happens & all of a sudden there are tons of articles about how evil lacrosse players are. Someone posted that article from Slate from that pussy who was still scarred he had to endure some smart ass remarks in highschool because he played baseball & not lacrosse. Yeah & baseball players have never put anyone in a worse situation? Or soccer. A soccer riot breaks out & anyone who was ever involved in the sport beyond AYSO has to bear the brunt of it.

I'm not trying to say football as a whole needs to be run thru the dirt. No way. I'm just pointing out what a double standard the less popular sports face.

Yeah but every sport has different standards for what's "acceptable." They're almost not comparable at all, until you get to the level where you're stabbing somebody. You're right, but the point doesn't really matter.
