My point was 9/10ths of all news stories I heard/saw referenced him only as "and another person," "and his flight instructor," "and the other victim," etc.

His name was known nearly as quickly as Lidle's, yet rarely used until the Yankees memorial service.

I found it tacky. It's not difficult to put two names in your copy.
