Phil Angelides is about to go on the Adam Carolla show. He is gonna get murdered by Schwarzenegger in November (and he'll get my vote) but as a Democrat I am curious to hear what he has to say. Thoughts Cali Obs? 106.9FreeFM.

Angelides got his ass handed. Adam may be considered as just some comedian, but damn, he is articulate and intelligent. Phil, bring your A game in the next segment, please.

I'm still voting for the Governator, but I do like the candor of Phil Angelides. Refreshing to hear a politician answer hard hitting questions. Can't wait for the next segment.

I'm confused. What side are you on again?

Did you catch the debate between Phil and the Governator on NPR? Weird debate. The moderator keep discourgaging them from giving answers that resembled "grand opening statements" and keep telling them to give more of a back and forth between each other. I think he just wanted to see a fight.

Anyway, Arnold came off (IMO) half-retarded. His tag lines were off the sort: [directed at Phil] "Just look at da people and admit you love raising da taxes." Arrogant and stupid.

Phil's got my vote. Unfortunately, Arnold leads by a double-digit margin right now. Phil is trying to characterize him as a lock-step Bush republican, but Arnold can counter with his splits from the repubs on the new greenhouse gas restrictions and [more importantly] stem cell research.

So I guess it could be worse.

I didn't catch that debate, but yeah Arnold comes off as robotic (did you hear him at halftime of the Raiders game last week? Jesus). Regardless, I like what he's done over the last three years. I'm a Democrat (voted for Clinton twice, Gore once, and Kerry once) but Arnold isn't a batshit crazy right wing religious zealot kook like our current president. He did veto the gay marriage bill, which strikes close to home, but that will eventually take care of itself, as our society gets more progressive. The greenhouse gas restrictions, stem cell funding, and most importantly he attempted, through litigation and the courts, to repeal Grey Davis' ridiculous legislative mandate (Arnold would have vetoed this nonsense) that we have minimum patient to nurse ratios which has ultimately added to the escalation of health care costs in the state. It took huevos to take on such a popular constituency as nurses and other health care workers, but he was right to do it, even though he ultimately failed, because the courts disagreed. Also Arnold is a nice check and balance to a Dem majority in the state house and senate.
