i always get a kick out of reading funny shit about fall out boy and panic...here is yet another

In a recent discussion with NME, Panic! At the Disco frontman Brendan Uriem cleared any confusion pertaining to his feelings on the genre known as "emo", or how the label is associated with his band.

Quote:
It's ignorant! The stereotype is guys that are weak and have failing relationships write about how sad they are. If you listen to our songs, not one of them has that tone. Emo is bullshit! If people want to take it for the literal sense of the word, yes we're an emotional band, we put a lot of thought into what we do. People always try to stereotype us, but we don't fit the emo stereotype.

I can deal with whiney lyrics about failed relationships..it's just the way they are delivered that determines whether I will want to listen.

what's funny is i immediately thought that there are thousands of scenesters who rail on bands like this but look exactly like them. but don't get me wrong they're a bad, bad band.

Take a tip from Sunny Day, kids. If you can express your emotional self well, you don't have to dress the part.

Exactly. It's a shame how SDRE got all tangled up in that ilk.

One of them obviously has some liver problems, though.

They look like a bunch of waiters that got runned over by the Duran Duran truck.

i'm still pissed that the term emo got highjacked by a bunch of blink-182-via-bright eyes ass clowns and now i can't say emo anymore without someone thinking i write bad poetry and whine about girls while simultaneuously treating them like crap, doing tons of coke, and surfing the web to site like "makeout club" and "suicide girls".

fuckers.

On CSI:NY last night...

Quote:
What's it like to fit in somewhere? At 17, Carensa Sanders wants to know; living in Casper, Wyoming is getting old and she's ready to leave home. She applies to be a SuicideGirl, and one year later, performs in a crazy punk show with the Girls in Queens. Unfortunately, she doesn't survive the night.

The CSIs take in the scene; Carensa, or Omen, as she's now called, lies dead in an alley only blocks from the club. Though she's covered in what looks like blood, Danny deduces it's only cherry syrup. Cause of death is determined to be massive hemorrhaging in the brain from a stab to the top of the head. Her hand has been stomped on as well, but why? Sheldon focuses his attention on the girl's tattoo, which reads "Til Death Do Us Part, Omen 'n …" He can't read the name because it's been obliterated by a stab wound.

That's doubly relief. Glad you forgot about me, too, I mean.
