Starting it now since I won't be around tomorrow but have plans that trump just about anything. Yeah, I'm bragging. Live with it.

I'm not even gonna bother w/ the Fri/Sat/Sunday bullshit.

I'M GOING TO GAME 1 OF THE WORLD MOTHERFUCKING SERIES!!!!!!!!!!

Pick up Dave/tetzel1517 @ DetMetro at 9:30, check into our hotel then head downtown for night-before revelry. Downtown Detroit is gonna be NUTZ this weekend; like Mardi Gras or some shit. Make it back to hotel somehow.
We've got college friends from California coming to The D on Sat AM, even though they have no plans of getting tix to the game. It's the ultimate homecoming and it's not to be missed. MONGER from noon to 5 or so, get inside to get a sweet SRO spot and prepare for the game.
Afterward, hopefully celebrating a 1-0 series lead with close to 100,000 people downtown. Getting back to hotel in the morning hours. Shoving Dave onto his plane home by noon and outrunning the DPD on my way back to Flint.

Abbreviated version: OPEN DEATH

Saturday: pick up grandma's birthday cake, celebrate grandma's 75th birthday with local family, an aunt from Poland, an uncle from Florida and my great-uncle from England.

FRIDAY
- dinner and drinks with a few of the GF's 'couple' friends.

SATURDAY
- lounge in bed all day and watch 'The Office - Season 2' on my new flat screen, also with gf.

SUNDAY
- read papers, not sure of the rest, but I'm sure it will involve me leaving my couch.

Friday - Catch up on a bit of work today, then take it easy on the couch. Make some Spaghetti with Garlic & Olive Oil for dinner. And listen to the new Tragically Hip album all day.

Saturday - Going to see Sloan at the Odeon. My first time seeing this band, which actually astounds me.

Sunday - probably do that couch thing again.

Saturday: Taking the truck to the mechanic's for new brakes, oil change and tune up in preparation for my roadtrip to Tejas. Get girlie stuff done, ie, pedicure and manicure.

Sunday: Sleep in, pay bills, clean house and do laundry. Though, it's supposed to be beautiful this weekend, so may sneak out of the house and take the dogs to Fish Canyon (local bike trail/park next to the San Garbriel River).

Not an exciting weekend, but am gonna enjoy the quiet.
