Not really. Lots of bagpipes in that one AC/DC song.

as strange as the bagpipes not being from Scotland originally?

I dunno, I guess I just think of them as being a quintessential Australian band. Yes, I know that the majority of Aussies are British, penal colony, blah blah blah, but still.

Caught a little bit of a british tv-aired 1977 concert, with Bon.... Hooooly shit, buddy was wearing:

1. Jeans with a Donna-That-70's-Show waisteline, up above his bellybutton,
2. Denim jacket with arms ripped off,
3. No shirt.

Indescribably funny.

Imagine not knowing that! Actually quite a few other 'Australian' music artists are actually Scottish.

There's a lot of us down there.

Even though I knew that, I still considered them to be Aussie. Why? The Scots have a rich tradition in music, and to them added AC/DC would just be another notch on the belt, while to Australia they would friggin name a city after them.

And it's not just musicians.

They are always sending us back murderers and rapists too.

So, are they Scottish like I'm an Eye-Tie, or were they born in Scotland, and moved to Australia to better the commonwealth?

Big Difference, IMO.

They were born in Scotland. A lot of Scots emigrated to Australia between the 1950's to 1980's.

In fact nearly everyone in Scotland has relatives in Australia. My uncle lives in Melbourne.

I knew there were lots of scots in the Down Under, but I thought that ACDC were mostly 2nd Generation...didn't know they were basically Wops, or Wetbacks (mojados) ;)

Kyle, did you notice how placid that crowd was? I don't think they even stood up throughout the show.

Yeah Busty and I were watching that, kept flipping between it and Chappelle reruns. We could never tell what song it was (chords A-D-G vs A-G-D, etc). But the crowd sure as hell wasn't making any noise.
