The Dude: Do you find them much, these, stolen cars?
Younger Cop: Sometimes. Wouldn't hold out much hope for the tape deck though.
Older Cop: Or the Creedence.

I had a playstation and nintendo 64, along with numerous games, stolen from me back in '98. Violation, yes. But who has the last laugh? They are stuck with out of date gaming systems. Hopefully this is something you can laugh about years from now when karma swings in your favor.

sorry to hear this. happened to me once, first apt in nyc [of course]. roommate left a window on an alleyway open. not smart. they got a few things, enough to be a nuisance but not sink us. the violated feeling goes away after a time.

Really sorry to hear this. Like others have said, at least you're both safe. That's probably the only positive you can really take from it.

I've been lucky so far. No renter's insurance, but my stuff really isn't worth that much. If I had an HDTV or expensive stero equipment or something, I guess I'd get it.

That sucks. I'm sorry to hear that. I can't remember where in town you live, buit it's likely that whoever did it lives or hangs out a lot right near your place.

I live in Center City Philly around 9th and Lombard so it was most likely some crackheads. They climed a metal gate that was part of the yard sort of on an angle from me and hopped over the corner of a 6 foot high wooden fence and into my yard.
I didn't sleep well last night and I know I'm not going to sleep well tonight.

I didn't sleep well last night and I know I'm not going to sleep well tonight. I've had a rough week so far:

1) Went to N.O. for the Eagles game and wonderful loss.(Sun.)
2) Came home and watched my Flyers lose 9-1.(Tues)
3) Gettin' robbed.(Wed.)

Can't wait to see what the wekend brings :?

I lost both those games to this theft back in '98. Great multi player games that me and my roommates would play for hours. Yes I imagine they are still addictively fun to this day, but I haven't played them since. Though the DS version of Mario Kart has a couple retro courses from the old 64 system on it, which brought back good memories.

Oh, you mean the reason I went and bought an N64 like 4 years ago! And the only two games I bought for it. Still play them on shitty weekend days sometimes.

Man, I absolutely LOVED the fact that Hitch forced that shithead Esche to stay in for the entire game and absorb every last one of those nine goals. He used to pull shit like this with Belfour all the time when he was here in Dallas, God love him.

As for your burglary, you definitely have my condolences. Our house was broken into and ransacked when I was like 8 or 9. It REALLY freaked out my Mom badly. It happened during the day while I was at school and they were at work, so it was pretty brazen. They chopped into the front door with an axe.

No not a good idea since my insurance only covers up to 200.00 in cash.

FT- I really felt bad for Esche. There was a thing in the paper where Esche was asked about getting into Hitch's head adn he was quoted as saying that "It's an empty place " or something to that effect. I think Hitch kept him in for all 9 just to be a bastard.
They kicked my door in, that axe shit is pretty scary. But yeah, it was during the day when me and my gf were at work. They were quick and didn't really ransack or destroy anything, just saw what they could get money from and split.

Not only is there NO DOUBT Hitch left him out there just to be a bastard, but it was obviously direct retribution for Esche's ill-advised "empty place" comment. That's why I love that Captain Kangaroo clone -- he leaves no doubt in that locker room he's in charge. Of course, that typically only gives him about a 3-4-season shelf life with each team, as they eventually grow weary of his antics. But he brought TEH CUP to Big D, and for that, I shall always remain in his corner.
