um, they're alright. it's just two guys playing guitar and a sampler with some videos. i dig the music, though.

the most amusing part of seeing them was a guy recording the set. he started with the camera right in front of the stage, then moved to the steps leading up to the stage, then to the corner, and then was standing between the guitar players. then one of the guys was like, "what are you doing? get off the stage." it was good for a laugh. and then franz ferdinand absolutely destroyed the same stage twenty minutes later. good lord...

Wow...I love the champs, but only like that one Ratatat song. I don't know about comparing one of the ultimate 80's-ish intrumental metal bands with 5+ albums to a duo with one album out...

Ratatat always seemed more like the minibosses, or an instrumental Totally Radd!!!, or some kind of nintendocore group to me...

I saw them live. Basically, it's two dudes getting wasted on stage. One is sitting behind a keyboard and headbanging while playing and the other dude tries to stand and jump on shit that will not hold his weight whilst playing guitar. Mildly entertaining. and then Clinic absolutely destroyed the same stage twenty minutes later. good lord...
