Haven't seen any threads about this? Anyone else pick it up? I like it quite a bit. I expected it to be a little more kidsy and maybe less fleshed out than a typical Magnetic Fields album, but this project definitely had Stephin Merritt's full attention. Reptile Room is my favorite right now.

I think you can listen to some of it on Nonesuch's site:

I have the EP.
It's good but I prefer the Magnetic Fields.

Don't have any Gothic Archies, but do like Future Bible Heroes a lot.

yeah i like it quite a bit, although i'm not too familiar with the books. Most of these were originally released as part of the audiobooks for each edition.

if you're still not getting it, there's a new gothic archies release:

Turns out they played a gig at the local Barnes & Noble here in my little suburb last night. Weird.

Lemony himself is supposed to be sitting in with Merritt. That's pretty cool.

Some might even consider that a series of fortunate events.

In case you are still not getting it, Lemony Snicket played the accordian on 69 Love Songs, and probably has done some other Stephin Merrit related stuff as well. I'll be getting this soon.

According to the AP Newswire today is the 40th anniversary of Weird Al's first accordion lesson.

So, if Sunday celebration toasts were getting a bit meager, there's that.
