I was thinking, "man that honda commercial was pretty damn cool". Then I saw the one quoted above. Good lord that is a pretty freaking horrifying commercial. holy cow.

I haven't seen that one ever.

there were a bunch of those psa type shock ads. a couple drunk driving ones were just as bad if not worse. see the above link--i added the btaa website will all the commercials that won awards this year and last.

personally, i like the stella add just for its sheer obsurdity and artistic vision.

the land mines psa made me cry a little, that sucked in just the way it is supposed to.

psa - more serious
this one

Both are pretty impactful, unfortunately neither will stop Governments from making and shipping Land mines or people from drinking and driving.
Great posts. Thanks for calling our attention to stuff like these.

this was mlle's favorite one:

http://www.givingupsmoking.co.uk/images/tvads/fingerlegs_TV_ad.mpg

and an inventive guinness ad:
http://www.whoomp.com/articles/195/1/Guinness-Evolution

ok, more--these are the types o commercials you'd never see in the us because they actually are thought provoking:

aol - "good"
aol - "bad"

i think the new jonothan glazer directed bravia ad tops the bouncing ball one.

I think this one is awesome for sure. However, I think I still like the bouncy-ball one. There is something about the "chance' and "chaos" of it that makes it a bit more beautiful IMO. The paint one is pretty damn cool though.
