My company's doing a membership telethon and we've been divided into teams. I've been put in charge of creating a poster for my team. Group name: TNT. Google's surprisingly limited on interesting TNT photos. Does anyone have ideas on where to go for photos that are work appropriate?

Thanks.

istockphoto.com is good for purchasing on the cheap if you have any type of budget.

I probably could get a nice sized budget since my team captain is also the CFO, but really it's not that important. I wish that toothpaste for dinner or natalie dee had some dynamite pictures. No one would get that humor anyway...

If you're making posters, you want something with a higher resolution than images you just pull off the web randomly, since most everything will be 72dpi.

Stick to the stock photo places, or you can sweet talk me some more and we can make stuff happen. (by stuff I of course mean some kick ass posters)

if you make a poster for me, i'll send you:

a. a mix cd (complete with cheesy artwork)
b. a brand new cd (your choice)
c. five dollars cash
d. a smallish thai boy
e. a hamster (with a paper towel roll for easy insertion)
f. painkillers (i've got two to choose from)

Let's work together on this.

What do you mean by "smallish"? We've got a deal though.

So how does this site work? I've signed up, and am reading their stuff... but want a pro's opinion. Do you sell work on here? I'm thinking about uploading some of my photos, but worry that this isn't a great place to do this. Although, some of these images are TOP NOTCH.

Step 1: Establish the sky-high worth of your undies.
Step 2: Establish the availability of said undies.
Step 3: Offer undies in trade, grudgingly.

...all predicated on the assumption that Juice DESPERATELY wants your used undies, which is probably not an unfair characterization. I could be wrong. You may have to throw in a bra too.

I've only used it for obtaining photos or elements for design work, not actually pushing my own stuff. According to the file size or type you use a number of credits purchased in bulk or individually. Depending on how much you purchase at a time, it figures out to roughly $1 per credit. Most "print-worthy" photos run 3-5 credits, which is unbelievably CHEAP.

I see the Cap'n is playing this to benefit both sides involved.

I like your style, sir.

I see a potentially Large zone of agreement here.

So are there better paying sites to sell photos? I'm by no means an professional photographer, but I enjoy taking pictures, and have caught some pretty good shots over the years. If I started making a few bucks from my hobby, it might push me into applying myself more seriously.

i don't know much about that side of the buisness, but i get the impression that's a good place to go for people who aren't up to par professionally. The models aren't as nice, the quality of the shots isn't as nice.

but i go there when i have clients that won't pay real money.

in fact i bought two images from there today.
