I realise they're up to volume 25 or something now, but I'm looking for them from the very beginning.

I suspect someone may have volume 1. Bort?

I'd even settle for just a tracklisting. I can't find one online.

Awesome. I'm sure I'll be harassing you for volume 2 in a week or two and volume 3 after that.

This is the slowest transfer I've ever had. How big are these files?

it's a 55 + minute disc. over 100MB. why does it take so long? because of big files? or does each individual computer have their own transfer rate? i think it took me 30 minutes to upload it.

It finished. I think it's because the bitrate's at 320. That makes the files bigger, thus taking longer to download. I keep most of mine around 128.

I would never choose to have a file at 128, ever, if it can be avoided. Sounds like yaks shitting in a tunnel full of bees. Zip the file, avoid some of the wait.

If you can't take the time to download...well, it's not like you're shovelling coal into a freight engine. Go take a shower or take a walk, read a newspaper. The chances your computer will catch fire during that time are fairly slim.

I believe I read that 192 is comparable to cd quality. 128 is good, takes up less space, but doesn't sound as good as cd's.

Just another little trick I pull on myself to give me another incentive to buy the album instead of just downloading.

It's been longer than a few weeks so I don't feel bad asking for Volume 2 if anyone (Bort) has it.

i'll see what i can do. if you ask me, they get better and better further into the series, although by the time you hit vol. 8 or so you've got more forward-reaching electro-pop than the typical 90s indie/jangle/twee stuff, so I guess it depends on what floats your boat.

If I go with one every month or two, it won't be too bad. I have such a huge amount of new music coming into my computer that a lot of it gets buried in the landslide.

Hey bort, do you have a SoulSeek account or anything?

I want to grab volume 3 but I hate pestering you if I could get it an easier way.

I've tried looking up tracklistings online and found nothing, though.
