we need to talk

I just picked up his short movie collection and his "rabbits" serial.

I think as a film maker he is just phenominal and projects a surreal environment through every aspect of his work, be it in his scripts, his use of sound, his collabortions with angelo badalamenti, etc.

I'm actually not expecting a whole lot from his upcoming movie as it looks to be more of a series of shorts than an actual full length but I'm sure what is there will rock.

ok christopher, this makes me wonder something - my Boston roomate / landlord had a serious latino jones... "Spanish For Dummies" laying on the coffee table, "learn spanish" audio tapes, a condo in Argentina, several south american boyfriends, etc.

Is this common?

The reviews I've read about Inland Empire are incredible. I cannot wait to see it. Most of my reliable sources are saying that this movie could be his masterwork.

If you can stand video games, you should check out the Silent Hill series (the original and the third are my favorites). They are heavily based on Lynch's concepts of psychological fear, sound, and surrealism. Minus all the religious gobbledegook I thought the movie was very entertaining.

Darko is great and quite frankly I forgot to add it. I hate how its been co-opted by the youth of america as a metaphor for their lives, but eh, at least their watching a great film.
