fucking great call, I love that flick.

Really?

I was so jazzed for this movie (I really dig Ian McShane) and was even more jazzed with The Stranglers opener, but it really fell short after the end of the opening credits.

Snatch, on the other hand...awesome.

I thought Ray Winstone and Ben Kinglsey were tremendous, especially Kingsley..McShane was also a badass. Yeah that opening sure promised a lot, but I really enjoyed the movie on a whole.

have movies really been this shitty in this decade?

Favorite movie?

I don't know. I think that's my problem. I'm having a hard time thinking of a movie I truly love and is in some way important. I was hoping to see something off somebody's list. I liked the Kill Bill's. The Proposition is good too but I saw that a couple of weeks ago and it's hard for me to put something in my top 10 without some distance perspective.

No, I'm just asking favorite movie in general. Your favorite of all time. If you think everything released in the past six years sucks, I'm really curious to know what your favorite ever is.

I wouldn't say they all sucked. I've enjoyed lots of films. In fact I liked most of the movies on people lists. Shee, I like Mean Girls. Just the lists look weak and I can't think of any movies that hold their own against say The Godfather. I know not many films do but I'd have hard time putting most of the movies on any lists of all time greats. I think the focus on computers and technology really held back storytelling and artistry.

But my favorite all time movie is the Wild Bunch to answer the question.

It's no different now - people trying to outdo ! each other in extremes. There are people who like X, and there are people who say X are wimps; they like Black Flag.

Awesome. My #3, I think.
