It started by being around musicians I guess, classical, jazz, and rock. An excuse to see the outside world for 5 minutes, tastes good with beer, waiting to play, driving to a gig, keeping yourself awake at 3 a.m. coming home from a gig, window's down and the air is cold...

i know i can do just fine without it, i have for prolonged periods of time, and i've never nicced.

But i do enjoy it.

I drink every day, so until I give alcohol up, I will never be able to quit smoking. They complement one another so perfectly, and since I'm a staunch hedonist I doubt I will ever give these vices up.

smoking on the regular (pack/day) for about a decade. i quit for about six months in high school with the nicorette, but then i started drinking/smoking the reefer whenever possible, and the smoking came back with a vengence.

i'm glad i never smoked because i have the willpower of a 3 year old.
