Tomorrow night, I have the opportunity to see Stuart Staples, he of Tindersticks' fame, or see Cursive and The Thermals again.

Stuart Staples Pros:
Already bought ticket
At the Troubadour
Haven't seen him since the last time Tindersticks' toured
Amazing voice

Stuart Staples Cons:
It's 30 miles away from home
Tickets haven't been selling well
Haven't heard any of his solo stuff
Low key night

Cursive / Thermals / Eastern Youth Pros:
Close to home
Small club
Guaranteed to be a fun night
Will bring on the rawk

Cursive / Thermals / Eastern Youth Cons:
Just saw them
Don't have a ticket

I need help.

GO AND FUCKING SEE STUART STAPLES! I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH!.

When all is said and done, Stuart Staples will have his place in history, the thermals will not.''

I like Cursive but they were pretty boring live.

I haven't seen any of the other bands but I'd vote for the Themals.

You should catch the Thermals, then leave for that other show.

thermals all the way. they're one of the best/most fun live bands around and their new album is one of the smartest pieces of pop to come out this year. it's like sinclair lewis in punk form.

I'll agree, The Thermals are fun! But, I just saw them on Wednesday and I can't catch both shows since they're 40-45 miles apart.

I'm gonna see Staples and wish I was in love.

Good choice, I can't see seeing the same band twice in a week unless they are doing two different sets or are playing a special small venue show and then an arena show with another big name artist.
As much as I should push people to see Cursive, I don't believe I have ever paid more than a few bucks to see them.

Oddly enough, I had the same conversation with the Troubadour owner's daughter, Chris. She's not a Tindersticks fan either, but lucky for me, their booking guy is!
