Why don't you Bears fans save your smack for a team that's not knee-deep in the suck? I realise that's not gonna happen much this year with your schedule, but that Pats game four weeks from now should be a nice litmus test.

Yeah. As though beating the fortyniners is some sort of feat. '

I could break through the niners defense by myself.

I really think the away games at the Giants and Patriots are the only real possibility for a Bears loss. If they win those games and are still unbeaten, then they will have to decide whether they rest anybody or play everyone and go for the record.

Rex has gotta show he can play as good on the road as he does at home. If he can get that down, nobody can be them.

What a beatdown.

URLACHER!
REX!
TJ!

Fuck all you naysayers. Mumblemumbleweakschedulemumblemumbleoverratedmumblemumble. The Bears can compete with any team in the NFL right now (remember that blowout vs. Seattle?) I can't wait for those Giants and Patriot games.

Miami is next. LOL Culpepper. I hope he remembers to bring the vaseline for the pounding he's going to get.

BEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

We'll be facing Joey Ballgame, not Culpepper.

Ah, that's too bad.

It's still not too late for the Dolphins to forfeit and save themselves the embarrassment though.

Now, I don't remember as many threads about football in the past years on this board and CMJ, but have you people always been so proud and fanatic about "your" bears, or are they just 'yours" because they can wallop teams like the niners and are doing better than their decent season last year?

I've been a Bear fan since 1977. I can clearly remember watching Walter Payton on TV and getting caught up in all of the excitement of that incredible Super Bowl year in 85-86.

Yea, I have walked through the peaks and valleys and still have persevered as a fan despite many a crummy season led by multiple incompetent QB's over the past TWO DECADES.

Does that answer your question?

I'm a bears fan, always have been.

But still, at least i've lived through superbowl XX.

Now proclaiming my love for the Cubs? That's a real testament.

Chicago fans are the real deal, i only hope our Bears aren't jinxed by Rami. Which is completely possible. Regardless, you gotta give the Bears SOME respect.

Now if only the cubs can break the billy goat curse, but this coming season and next, and it'll be a century since they've won the series.

A century. I may die before i ever see the Cubs take it all. I'm still a Cubs fan.

Cubs fan. WTF? Keep them out of this thread. What a bunch of losers to top ALL losers.

Oh and for the record, the only way the Bears will be jinxed is if PopTodd starts rooting for them.

It's too early to start talking '85, but this Bears group has one thing in common with them, they absolutely crush the teams they should. No letdowns.

The Giants/Jets/Pats road trip should be interesting.

The Giants/and/Pats are the only two they should worry about.

I always hated the ineptitude and warm fuzziness of the Cubs even though I was raised in the north suburbs of Chitown. That's right, growing up I always watched the SOX and their pennant run in '83 was nearly as magical as the Bears' season a few years later. I have to say though that now I'm pretty ambivalent about baseball. It just bores me mostly.

Oh, and I'm kane not wahine, joker.

I'm scratching my head at your logic. And until Hawaii gets a pro-anything team, don't expect me to keep your mascots straight.
