as expected, it's fucking ace!

pm if you want it.

Aereogramme are set to release their third record 'My Heart Has A Wish That You Would Not Go' on Januray 30th, 2007. Though the band just recently put on a split with Isis entitled 'In The Fishtank 14' this new record marks the band's first proper release since 2004's mini-album 'Seclusion.'

The band plans to release a limited edition 7" single of the album track 'Barriers' in January 2007 with the track 'Dissolve' on the flip side

Is this song on that new(ish) comp from Chemical Underground? It was packaged with a cd and dvd. Can't remember what the name of the song is on there.

I liked the Sleep & Release album but never followed through on their next album.

I am really digging this album.

What is the genre they are classified under?

It sounds like they've gotten a better understanding of mixing. There were some good tracks on the other two albums I have but they were really muddy and hard to decipher because aspects of the recording were not mixed very well at all.

This one is great. It will get a lot of spins from me.

I doubt it because I'm pretty sure they left Chemikal Underground after their last album.

For the style of music that this album is, it's pretty okay. My question is, where did the rawk go. A Story In White was chock full of it. Sleep and Release, not as much, but it was still there. This new one is basically all midtempo and strings galore. Like I said, it's not a bad album, I just miss tracks like "Zionist Timing" et al.

I feel kind of the same, maybe not so much in a negative sense. Their earlier style was goood, and I can definitely see some folks not digging My Heart's particular direction, but goddamn am I a sucker for this type of production. Striiiiings... Image

"Nightmares" has some seriously badass atmosphere going on.

I haven't had much time to digest thing one, but the little I've gotten to listen to it, I'm just not feeling it. I'm getting a very emo feeling about this one. There were tinges of that on Sleep And Release, too, but in tolerable doses. Now it seems they've gone over to the dark side. I just don't feel a terrible desire to listen to this again. I was kind of hoping their Fishtank session would have inspired them to go heavier, but it seems to have done exactly the opposite. I'll keep trying, hopefully I'll warm up to it . . .

Of course, thanks, again, Dalen!

while much of the rock is gone, they've written some incredibly beautiful and moving tunes here, for example "Exits." i'm gonna agree with cosmic bus here as the strings and overall passion of this album are slaying me.
