Song by a band called Klaxons. Another London band worth watching out for this year.

Track..Gravitys rainbow

I like the word klaxon. It's the alarm that goes off in my head that I'm dealing with fucked-up people. Like, the klaxon goes off in my head.

Seems like a derivation of Klan Klavern to me...but maybe I've been paying too much attention to the SPLC these days.

Dalen must be having sex. A thread about a British band, and he hasn't replied?

i'm kinda shocked that no one else has mentioned klaxons on this board. it seems the type of thing that some people here would lose their shit over. so, i offer up a remix of the song that started this thread:

klaxons - gravitys rainbow (van she remix)

They were supposed to be in town in about 10 days, unfortunately, they had to postpone that trip to finish up on their album. I don't mind waiting.

I'm intrigued that they're on Modular, so will be checking them out.

I'll listen to this in a sec, but it could be either genius or total shit.

Van She are a Sydney band (also on Modular) who have a fabulously cheesy and glossy new wave song called Sex City that has been fairly popular in certain circles here. They were fun (and had unintentionally highly amusing outfits) when they supported Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Really must get their ep tomorrow to see what the rest is like

I really like this. It's not the type of music I normally listen to, but...

Thanks! And Pete, your link didn't work for me, is it working now?

It's an old thread mate, i don't think i have the song on my pc anymore, but i'll have a look.

I used to post about some up and coming Uk bands on here as there was a few brit music fans. I really liked that tune but the stuff they have released since does nothing for me. The kids are going wild for this "nu-rave" stuff though.

Band called Trash Fashion are being hyped at the moment.

I checked this out thinking that it might be different, but it wasn't, so I shut it off.

Shitdisco indeed.
