One day at the Chinese restaurant I worked at, my boss came to me and told me, in a hurry, to tell the head chef (and the co-owner) Pete that a deliver was there. He said the name once so quickly that I didn't catch it that first time, so I asked him to repeat it. "C. T. Mee?" I said. "C. T. Mee, C. T. Mee, yeah, yeah, yeah, go!" and he hussled me off to tell him. When I got to Pete, I told him that "C. T. Mee" was there for a delivery and he looked at me very confused, asked me who it was again, and I again said "C. T. Mee." He clearly didn't get what I was saying, so he just went to the back and a few minutes later came back with a big smile, called me back, and pointed through the door. "Thomas," he said, laughing, "you funny guy." The truck parked outside had on its side the name, painted in large letters, City Meat.
