I just made the mistake of trying to explain to several deeply conservative co-workers the crucial difference between the right to crack a joke about the president's IQ and the defamation of troops; the first of which was Kerry's actual lame-ass joke attempt (not to defend Kerry, but to point out he's not stupid enough to do the latter) . But they just got angry. And then more angry. Which is why I don't get into politics with my coworkers much anymore.

Also, regarding that story I posted yesterday about the lawyer who got arrested in Maine for dressing up like Osama and waving a sign on an overpass: CNN is mostly just reporting what I just typed, not that Tom Connolly was dressed as a member of the "Tabor-Ban" and was protesting TABOR, the so-called Taxpayer Bill Of Rights up for vote in Maine.

His sign should have said "Tabor-Ban" NOT "I Love TABOR"

But Tom thinks his sense of humor is so awesome everyone can kiss his fucking ass if they want him to change.
