Like Wilco has grown fond of. I bought Love's s/t today and it had one on it. I don't really like the damn things, but I don't every throw them away either for some unknown reason. Anyone just ditch the damn things?

I flatten them and throw them in a box where I have crappy promo samplers that came in the flat cardboard sleeves.

I've got tons of them in a box, but also can't throw them out. I was thinking of making them into coasters or something useful.

Strangely enough, I use them to cover the jewel box that they came with.

I would, but they won't fit in my cd case. Maybe in my next generation cd holding facility I can use them once more.

I don't have too many, but would love to frame em.

That's a great idea, actually. I could make a really cool Ramones collage for the wall.

I was at my parents' house and found a shitload of the old school longboxes from the environment-killin' early days of the CD. As a kid I couldn't bring myself to toss them.

I throw everything out now.

I used to seperate the front part of those and hang them on the wall.

BTW, what fucking dildo ever thought that longbox was a good idea? I mean I can understand wanting to make a bigger album cover for people who were used to records but...people had been buying these things called cassettes for awhile at that point so I dont think it was gonna shake up the world or anything.

I tend to throw them away. I used to keep them but when i moved i saw them as a waste of space....i was never going to come up with a cool way to frame them and put them on my wall.

They were done that way to help stores that had built rack systems that fit lps easily switch to cds...two columns of cds fit where one column of records fit and the box made the height the equivalent of the records.

I do as Bloor does. They usually fit in all my cd racks.

Yeah, I leave them on the cd cases and put them on my shelves. They look pretty.

since the beginning of this year when i got new cd shelves, i've been doing this too. it's about time i keep my music in flexible spaces. i still think takk's packaging is ridiculous, but it at least fits on the shelves when it didn't before.

I keep my 'dust covers' because I optimistically think that in 50 years time the CD will be worth so much more as antique with the dust cover than without.
