Haven't looked through all of it yet, but tabs now have x's for closing, and an in-line spell-checker, which is good for lazy schmutzes like me.

I'm running 1.5.0.7 and my tabs have x's for closing, and have for quite a while, over on the right side.

But you see only 1 X for the currently viewed tab. I think this has one X per tab so you could close the porn tab without having to view it with your boss behind you.

yes, the ingenious "multiple x's" approach was microsoft's one innovation to tabbed browsing. well, and the "new tab" tab i guess.

I have to say I'm a believer in Firefox. I still have trouble downloading files though. Probably because when you right click it doesn't say "Save Target As."

if you're into extensions, you've probably already got many of the update features (spell check, X out tabs, etc.).

does seem to run faster though.

I changed my default from "download all files to the same folder" to "ask me," so left-clicking works fine.

If it crashes, Firefox v2.0 will restore you previous sessions and bring up all your old tabs and locations. Awesome.

Yeah. I haven't upgraded to 2.0 yet, but I have individual X out tabs, crash restore and about everything else I've seen lauded for the new version. I think I'll wait a bit.

Ah. That makes sense.

Ctrl-W, people. It's easier than clicking any X.

Edit: Though I guess you view the tab to do that.
