I know this has been covered before but here it is anyway.

I simply can't figure this shit out because I have TEH DUMBG.

I'm trying to simply send a YSI.

Here is my record of trial and error thus far:

1) Uploaded a folder of music directly from desktop using YSI. Sent link. Receipients received link only for it to be the 1st song.

2) I was told to zip the folder and then upload to YSI

3) I attempt to use Stuffit expander. It tells me to drag files into it. I do and nothing happens.

4) I then attempted to use Dropstuff. I tried to open it and it said that I couldn't use it without the Stuffit Engine.

5) I tried to open the Stuffit Engine and once I found an application to open it it gave me this:

The file "Stuffit Engine" does not appear to be compressed or encoded. It si advised that you obtain further information about the contents of this file from the sender or provider of the file.

WTF?

I have no clue what I'm doing and I think I'm doing more harm than good over here.

When using Stuffit Expander can I drag a whole folder into it or do I need to do it one track at a time?

Any help is appreciated.

I think you want to drop the folder into DropZip. That should do it.

Yeah I'm on a Mac.

I don't think I have DropZip. I only have DropStuff but I can't open it without the Stuffit Engine and it keeps giving me the above message.

highlight the folder but do not open it.

go up to file and a down the menu you will see the option to archive your selected folder.

do it.

that should zip it for you.

if my memory serves, you should be able to open a terminal, type in zip, drag the folder into the terminal window and it will zip it for you. no extra software required. anything you can do without stuffit is a plus for me. what a piece of junk.

Genius.

I think that worked. I'm waiting to see if the YSI works.

Thanks darlin.

If the zip worked, the ysi will work, it will just take a while (30-35 mins)
