and here is my current effects set-up. Made the little pedal-board over the summer. Kind of ghetto, but it really cuts down on my set-up time at shows.

P.S. Velcro is f'n expensive.

I like alot of tech 21's pedals, but i haven't heard of the double drive.

I like those fulltone drive pedals too.

edit: i know you don't have a fulltone in your setup, i was just free associating.

I just traded a big muff for the double drive a few months ago. I wasn't getting much use out of the big muff... I just kind of kept it around because I liked the way it looked :) Great big, metal thing.... looked like a soviet tank.

The double drive's sound is more up my alley. I haven't really played with it enough to fully integrate it into my sound, but I can tell you that on it's extreme setting, it has a really sweet, full-on, saturated overdrive that makes my deville sound like the best a Marshall can offer...

Our other guitar player just got one of these...

Fender PA-135.

He's playing it through a marshall cab. He is very happy with it.

The 410. Yep - that's your bigboy.

I love it, too. So versatile.

It's true - I play on Phil's gear more than my own these days, but my contribution is that Phil plays on my early Wurlitzer and one of my guitarists plays through my ampeg combo rig . . . lots of gear sharing going on 'round these parts.

Speaking of need wheels, it's time for my un-asked-for case plug of the month.

BUY A FUCKING AMP CASE, PEOPLE. makes *no* sense to spend $500, $700, or in Phil's case a $hitload on an amp and then chuck it into your backseat a few hundred times, scratching and scuffing it all to hell. If you gig or practice at all, make it a priority.

I got my cheap-ish one off ebay years back for a little over a hundred bucks. Since then, I have gigged that Vibrolux at LEAST 75 times, always in dirty bars. But it looks very, very good, because it's been in a case the whole time. Plus, when I play down the street at the Crystal these days (got one coming up at the end of the month), I just put my guitar on my back and roll the amp down the street.
