np: "second guessing" oakley hall

(kinda has an old-old-school whiskeytown feel fronted by a more gruff vocal than ryan adams... maybe bobby bare jr? organic with hints of honkeytonk way back in the far recesses of their studio.)

np: "the sophtware slump" grandaddy [2000 retro week]

(this really should end with "so i'll aim towards the sky". the expanded edition has 2 extra songs which feel tacked-on.)

np: "new magnetic wonder" apples in stereo

(on track #4 and really digging the pop sensibilities on this album.)

(almost done with track 22 of 24. this album feels both brief and expansive.)
