What, with the Bears & Falcons losing, plus the Packers (after being on a li'l bit of a roll) losing to the Bills, I figured the entire Chicago contingent (save for Z, whom I don't believe is much of an NFL fan, & Red, who is half-Dolphins fan (by parentage)), the entire ATL krew (save LooGAR, who appears only to be a Georgia sports fan when it comes to UGA football; then again, the Cowboys did lose (though a loss to the most-racistly-named professional sports franchise, while the arch-rival, has to sit ok with Sen. Lester Maddox's Legacy LooGAR (that's a joke)), & the 'Sconsin also-rans (Paper, Backspace, Killer Whaler) would be gone. Guess I was wrong.

I ran the hose from my exhaust to my driver's window, started the car, but then I realized I don't have a garage. I guess I shall have to Die Another Day

Don't forget Georgia lost to Kentucky. A shitty sports weekend to be sure.

Gotta say though that the Bears loss/Dolphins win brightened me up just a bit.

Being a Chiefs and Lions fan (not to mention having Payton Manning and Willie Parker on my fantasy team), I had a good weekend.

Pfft... give me a break. I can't wait to rub it in my douchebag coworker's face that because I wasn't at the game, the Bears didn't have it in their hearts to win.

It was nice to talk to my dad and have him in a good football mood for once. And I know that my mom didn't get a beatdown this weekend, so that's a plus.

i'm really, really concerned about the nature of Urlacher's injury. i read that there's probably no break, but there is a chance of ligament damage but they wont know for sure until today's MRI. if he's out/needs surgery then there will be a mass Chicago suicide.

Falcons: No clue. I blame Mora for not having the team ready. Everyone saw this as a trap game and we still shit the bed. Lions did everything to let us back in it and we couldn't close. Mora is slowly becoming notorious for losing the games we should win.

Georgia: anyone looking for a UGA diploma? Cheap?

I'm chalking this one up to "one of those years". Defies logic. Tennessee went through it last year. I went back through the UGA media guide and look at the last 40 years and this isn't the first time we've had seasons like this and it won't be the last. I even found 2 seasons where we won the SEC and went 5-6 the next year under Vince Dooley.

Talent, and chemistry. Talent and chemistry.

(and the lack of ANYONE who can catch the ball, this year)

Penn State's loss to Wisconsin wasn't surprising but still disappointing. It's strangely comforting that all four losses have been to teams in the Top 15, but that doesn't balance out that 1) there are four losses and 2) none of the teams we've been beaten are ranked.

The Browns suck, but at least they have given up fewer points than the Steelers.

It was a great football weekend for me, even if I had a relativel poor performance in the pickem. Congrats to FT, by the way for going 14-18 and taking sole possession of first place by at least four games.
Nebraska beat Mizzou by more then the spread and dominated the homecoming game. They are essentially the Big 12 North champ now.
Joe Dailey had a higher QB rating then Brady Quinn and hapless UNC scored more than 20 against the Irish
Denver beat Pittsburgh, Redskin beat Dallas, Bears lost and Indy beat the Pats. Not that I wanted the Bears to lose, but it was funny to see the Dolphins eliminate them from the ranks of the unbeatens twice now in the history of the NFL.

LSU: Takes down the Great Pumpkin on last offensive play.

Saints: Laid waste to the Bucs.

Tanner and I had it pretty good.

My answer: coaching. All of these players have talent, or they wouldn't be between the hedges. There is something missing from a motivational standpoint and that is the coaches fault. The players haven't been able to play to a certain level this year and it's because of motivation.

I'm starting to hear reports that there is a strained ligament, and whether he plays or not depends on how much pain he can handle.

Damn, that's good news then. I don't see the Bears competing well unless he's playing.
