11:55 a.m.: The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel online Newswatch is reporting that a bomb threat has closed a polling location at East High School. It begins:

A bomb threat this morning at Madison East High School prompted the city to close its polling site there and relocate it, state Elections Board Executive Director Kevin Kennedy said.

Kennedy said Madison city officials might ask the Dane County Circuit Court to extend the voting hours for that site due to the time it was closed.

Details on the bomb threat and duration of time the poll was closed were not immediately available.

What's your take on C-Mac?

Just barely...I can be on the KS/MO border ( aka State Line Road ) in about 3-5 minutes by car.

Not a huge Claire fan, but I'm seeing this via the national scale. Hopefully my vote will help the Dems take the Senate.

She was county attorney over there for a while, right?
Good friend of mine helped her win the primary 2 years ago against Holden

<-- Paid Poll Tax. Voted around 9:45 am.

TOTAL: 6 Republicans, 5 Democrats, 1 Libertarian.

Ehrlich is gonna have a tough time holding on despite closing fast in the past few weeks. I do think he has the right idea though. He recently said he doesn't need to turn Maryland into a Red State, but it should at least be a competitive state.

The details:
Governor: Bob Ehrlich (R); Incumbent
Comptroller: Republican (The Democrat candidate was running on shit like gun control...for comptroller)
Attorney General: Democrat

U.S. Senator: Michael Steele (R)
3rd Congressional District: Libertarian. (Sarbanes Junior or some Security from Terrorists Whack Job)

House of Delegates: 2 Republicans, 1 Democrat (Went to high school with one of the Republicans. I'm all about 30 year olds running shit)
State Senate: Democrat

County Executive: Republican (Either candidate is a pretty good fit, really)
County Sheriff: Democrat
County Council: Democrat (and a Jew!)

Did it this morning. Fayette County, GA. Another Obner vote for Taylor (he wins among the Obs in a landslide)

I voted for Mike McGraw for U.S. House, and I hope he beats the fuck out of Lynn Westmoreland, one of the dumbest motherfuckers to ever serve. Put it this way, I live in what is probably one of the most Republican districts in the country and this guy McGraw has signs and a bit of support not because he is anything great but just because Lynn (the Republican incumbent) is such a shit dick. Usually in this district you've never even heard of the Dem guy until you get to the polls.

Got the always hip sticker to boot:

Going after food's ready. Polls are 2 blocks away.

And I never heard that abt Doyle calling Busty "Mitch." I just remember watching Busty sweat after holding up the floor monitor on his shoulder for like 10 minutes of meaningless pandering.

Done. All the old ladies working the polling place kept oohing ahhing over my child.

And I had the misfortune of being next to some old guy who was asking a question and when he didn't like the answer he got he started screaming and huffing at them.

He scared the crap out of me.

I diligently cast my losing votes in Utah this afternoon.

I believe Clinton in '96 is the only major candidate I've ever voted for that has won since moving here---a bit frustrating, to say the least. I love voting against Orrin Hatch, though.

Does anyone think Derek Jeter will win the Senate seat in Tennessee?

Done.
No truly competitve races here, though I want the anti-affirmative action ballor proposal to get crushed like a grape and that was my main motivation.
In the last few weeks Granholm has extended to a safe lead over DeVos for governor.
Stabenow has never been threatened by Bouchard for Senate.
Kildee could die and still get re-elected to the House.

Polling place was humming and everything went smoove. Democracy. Yes!
