I disagree. Particularly if you buy that Lost Experience video about the numbers at all, I'm guessing it's one of the many environment-altering experiments Dharma came up with to try and save the world.

I think we're supposed to gather they've been friends with people like Hurley, Charlie and Claire for quite awhile and and have been fairly prominent in the group of Losties who've stayed back at camp while the Big Characters go off on their adventures.

OMG DUDE dont take that CLUB into the JUNGLE because when JACK AND SAWYER AND SAYID AND THEM go into the JUNGLE, as one might remember, somebody often time COMES OUT DEAD or INJURED. OMG DUDE don't do IT

It would explain the disappearance of Christian and Yemi. I'd place money that Inman's body's long gone too.

best intro of the season so far. I like Jack that much more now. I hardly even miss Eko already.

Well, if you people are posting while watching, I won't comment on the ending yet then.

I didn't even realize that your comment was a spoiler. I was confused as hell. haha.

How did you see it already?

Ben looked crazy as hell just now when his plan with kate didn't seem to work.

Why did that one girl get ousted from the Others community? Has that been addressed or is she still a mystery?

One of the CDN networks airs 'Lost' an hour earlier.

I am now positive that Juliet is the real evil mastermind.

Karl and Alex are part of Ben's good guy side. Alex demanded to speak to Ben but Pickett wouldn't let her. When Ben asked Juliet if Alex asked about him, Juliet lied and said she didn't. Part of Alex's side are the ones that are messing with Jack's intercom. They let him hear into the discussion a few episodes back about Colleen. They're also the ones that freed Jack during the episode there. Juliet wants to use Jack to kill Ben so that Ben will be eliminated, she can take over full control, and Jack can be used as the scapegoat. Pickett's with Juliet, though Tom's allegiance is up in the air.

Jack taking control was badass. The only problem being that he doesn't know they have nowhere to run to. Even with an hour headstart, they've got nowhere to go.

My dad suspects that, when Locke looks north as per the stick's instruction (presumedly from a high point), he'll discover the other island.

And these backstories are really doing nothing for the show now. They don't seem to serve any purpose at all.

And I'm really hoping Hurley, Jin, Sun, and Claire are actually featured in some episodes during the rest of the season.

Man. That ending sure does make me want to sit here and wait for February. Geez that was exciting.

Notable scenes for me were the scene where kate drugs her husband and right there when they were about to shoot Sawyer. Dammit this is a good show.

I don't mind the backstories at all because they help build and develop character, something which is lacking or completely absent in most shows these days. Backstories give you an understanding of why some of the characters have done what they have done. I think there is more to the backstories than meets the eye.

ok, well, that episode kind of sucked. i just didn't feel it.

i kind of like tom (zeke).

also, i think kate's an other, and she's on ben's side. she slept with sawyer to get jack to do the surgery, maybe she got talked into doing all of this by the dharma intiative (remember - she's the only one who remembers the plane crash).

Kate got married to Officer Firefly. That was cool.

Jack and Sawyer are both very, very angry and the Others have underestimated them big time.

Danny's going to find out he's not as badass as he thinks he is.

Lots of things still don't make sense, but Jack was very good in this episode.

It hasn't been addressed but she helped Claire escape the medical hatch and she's assumed to be Rousseau's daughter.

That line by Jack at the beginning was awesome.

The backstory was pretty lame but I can see why they used it.

Now 3 months of Gaybreak.

ABC showing brief clips of the Feb season with Kate and Sawyer running through the jungle from the Others kind of kills the cliffhanger of whether Saywer gets a bullet in the head.

Although I was expecting a big wtf moment at the end of this episode (such as Kate or Sawyer being revealed as an other, Locke stumbling upon a "made in China" artifact, or the last scene panning out and showing the "island" is in the Artic, space.... or Dharma selecting babies with the names of Charlie, Locke, Eko, Jacke, etc....) I'm kinda cool with how it ended the fall season. No jumping the shark thank goodness.

I don't know if she is or not, but the actress playing her is certainly advancing that feeling on my part. The look on her face when she was speaking with Kate was just fucking unbelievably cold.

I'm inclined to agree with this as well. Once again, we get the point hammered home that Kate likes to run. Wow. Over 50 episodes in and we hadn't quite realized that point yet. Thanks, writers.

Overall, I still enjoyed the episode, but in all honesty, didn't really feel that panicky, 'can't believe we have to wait until February' for more episodes. It didn't deliver a hammering semi-finale for me.
