Anybody planning on seeing this? It looks interesting enough to me to blow 8 bucks on.

Plus, I do like Will Ferrell. He acts the same all the time but I can't help but find him funny.

Despite Will Ferrel being in this, it does look interesting.

I won't write it off simply because of him.

I'm hoping it's his Punch-Drunk Love.

Nice use of Spoon in the trailers.

you're right. There's no killin' and gangsta's to quote in this one. I guess that means it doesn't get the thumbs up from the good senator. :)

I'm down for this, I like will ferrell enough and I'd like to see him play the straight man. Plus with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Dustin Hoffman, and Emma Thompson it makes for a great all around cast.

Anyone have the one new spoon song from the sdtk...

there's like 3 or 4 other spoon songs in there as well...plus britt did the score.

I like Will Ferrell a lot (Elf, Old School, cameo in Wedding Crashers), but for some reason this movie looks really annoying to me.

There's something ironic in that THIS movie, of all Will Ferrell movies, is the one that looks annoying. This looks like the one where I won't mind him.

I always I thought I hated Will Farrell. But I've liked him in everything I've seen him in since his SNL days. Alot. He's a funny motherfucker.

I still hate Adam Sandler.

I don't understand Sandler hate. Somebody has to make movies for 13 year olds to laugh at. Not my cup of tea but not hateable.

And I'll admit that I kind of liked Spanglish.

If you are 26-32 and you didn't think Billy madison or Happy Gilmore are fucking funny, you have no sense of humor.

I only mentioned actors & actresses that I give a shit about...that being said I would also like to mention Toby Hale (Buster on Arrested Development) is in this one as well

I haven't seen her in any of the trailers

go watch set it off if you want your queen fix.

don't call me cracka, you honky.

Dude, didn't you know some folks are born with black rimmed glasses, aversions to sports, ironic t-shirts, and lattes in their hands?

I truthfully haven't even seen them with the exception of the Bob Barker bit.

For me one of the truly funniest things was sitting in theatre of Sandler-fanatics watching Punch-Drunk-Love, who were desperately trying to laugh out loud at any possible opportunity during this non-comedic movie. Then the palpable sense of irritation and hostility as they realized this is NOT an Adam Sandler movie.

this was no typical sandler moive, this was a serious movie in which he no longer likes snack pack pudding, he likes grown up healthy choice pudding and instead of being silly and mumbling then yelling, he's dark and mumbling then yelling.

Yeah, but that shit was fucking huge when I was in university in the 90s. But if you're absolving me of my need to see them by adhering strictly to the age bracket, I will accept it.

I still love those two and kind of like Mr. Deeds as well. I saw and loved those first two movies when I was thirteen, though. If I were seeing them for the first time now, it's hard to say.

Because I hate all the Will Ferrel/Ben Stiller/Owen Wilson movies out now. But if I were thirteen, maybe I wouldd like them.

I'd like to see this. Of course, I've missed out on most movies I wanted to see this year. I think the next one I'll be seeing is the Prestige, though.

Phew. 34. Just made it. I liked Punch-Drunk Love and generally like Sandler in interviews and whatnot, but that whole series of man-boy movies is pretty tiresome and shrill.

Regarding the Spoon thing - apparently there's a lot of Spoon in this movie.
